Big Trees

I am lucky enough to live on beautiful Vancouver Island. This week we camped in Port Renfrew where, despite constant threat from logging companies, a few of the biggest trees in the world still stand. This one is called the Red Creek Fir and is the largest Douglas Fir in the world despite it losing its top at some point. The tree is estimated to be between 700 and 1000 years old.

It sits near a group of three lovely huge trees called The Three Sisters
